Macmillan is committed to transparency in all areas of business and with all stakeholders, both internally and externally. This transparency is manifested through the official reports of our activity and our communication channels.

Springer Nature publishes and annual Responsible Business report that includes information on sustainable paper sourcing, our carbon and energy footprint and waste creation.

As part of the preparation of this report, Macmillan Education reports the amount of paper used annually (in tonnes) and the certification of the paper used in the different books (FSC, PEFC, SFI…).

Communication & Consultation Channels

Reporting concerns or breaches of the Codes of Conduct:

Employees, business partners, authors, suppliers, editors, customers and anyone else who wishes to raise concerns regarding potential or actual breaches of the Springer Nature Code of Conduct or Business Partner Code of Conduct are asked to do so via our “Speak-Up” system. Questions and concerns may be submitted in any language.

If your concern relates to editorial or publishing processes, or editorial integrity, you should first contact the Editor-in-Chief(s) responsible for the journal concerned and/or the Editor who handled the paper.
