Usoa Sol

Usoa is a Secondary school teacher in Barcelona and a lecturer at the Universitat Ramon Llull (Blanquerna). She was the winner of the John McDowell-British Council Award in 2013 and is currently the vice-president of APAC, the English Teachers’ Association in Catalonia. She has collaborated as a teacher trainer and materials writer for Macmillan Education for several years. She is particularly interested in teen psychology and firmly believes in the power of ICT to motivate students.

Elspeth Pollock

Elspeth is Director of Studies at ELI, Seville. She’s been a teacher and trainer for over 20 years and during this time has obtained the Cambridge Delta and an MA in Linguistics. She is a Cambridge speaking examiner for B1, B2, C1 and C2 and a materials writer for Macmillan Education. She is particularly interested in exploring effective ways to maximise student participation and engagement to help them to become effective communicators.
