SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT GOALS

In September 2015, world leaders adopted an agreement at the United Nations: the 2030 Agenda and the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

It is an unprecedented international agreement that recognises the importance of tackling poverty, caring for the planet and ensuring prosperity for all.

Each goal has specific targets to be achieved over the next 15 years.

To achieve these goals, everyone has to do their part: governments, the private sector, civil society and people like you.

The pillars on which the 2030 Agenda is based are:

PEOPLE

Dignity and equality of all people in a healthy environment.

PLANET

Placing the protection of the planet at the centre of everything.

PROSPERITY

Transforming economies to enjoy a prosperous life in harmony with nature.

PEACE

Fostering peaceful societies.

PARTNERSHIPS

Create a global partnership between the different actors.

There are 17 goals that aim to guide, in a coordinated manner, the collective global action during 2015-2030 to adopt measures that manage to put an end to the great problems of the planet and address the challenges of humanity.

To achieve the 17 SDGs and their 169 targets, everyone has to do their part: governments, institutions, private companies and civil society.

AND TO ACHIEVE THIS, THE SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT GOALS (SDGS) ARE PROPOSED

THE COUNTDOWN IS ON: LET’S TAKE ACTION
