Breaking down barriers through Universal Design for Learning (UDL)
Do you ever feel that differences in abilities between pupils create added difficulties for your lessons? You’re not alone. In reality, there is no such thing as a truly homogenous group. In this practical session, we will discover proven principles, techniques and strategies based on the Universal Design for Learning framework which guarantee that we are catering for all, not just some of our learners’ needs. We will explore how to become more intentional, consistent, and effective when it comes to supporting our pupils’ learning, whatever their profile.
Designing Secondary classes for ALL
As teachers, we know that every student is unique. Learner variability is something we deal with on a daily basis. Using the principles underpinning Universal Design for Learning, we’ll look at practical ideas for supporting diverse learner needs and increasing learner engagement, to ensure that every student learns in every lesson and can achieve their potential.
